Autumn Leaves Trinket Bowls
Make a beautiful trinket bowl using rich autumn colours!
Service Description
Come and have a fun 2 hour creative session at my tranquil studio. We will learn to make a beautiful functional trinket dish from Earthenware clay, with decorations from leaves found around the museum or brought from home. We will learn to use beautiful autumnal under glazes to colour our patterns giving a vibrant finish to your dish. Suitable for all levels, adults and older children. Please note: this course is held at WoodSmoke Pottery in Amberley Museum by resident potter Nancy Scantlebury-Thompson. For enquiries please contact nancystdesign@gmail.com, not the museum. Date: Saturday 12th October 2024 Time: 10.30 to 12.30 am Price includes all materials/firing and simple clear glaze if required. Students can collect their work from the pottery in 3 weeks' time. Tea/Coffee/Biscuits provided. Important Information * Parking is free at Amberley Train Station car park in the " museum visitors" section. Gates are locked at 5 pm. * Entrance to the pottery is via the main entrance to the museum. Please give your name to the reception where they will have a list of attendees to that day's course. You do not need to pay to get into the museum if you are attending one of my courses. * Please note it is a good 10 to 15-minute walk to the pottery from the car park. Please make sure this is manageable for you. There is a bus inside the museum that can drop you outside the pottery if you ask the driver! * Groups are kept small to allow for individual space and one-to-one teaching. The classes are relaxed. * classes are aimed at adults and older children. These classes are not suitable for younger children. If you are under 16 years old, you must have a parent/guardian with you. * PLEASE NOTE: Sorry, but Cancellations are NON Refundable! This is due to "No shows" or people cancelling at the last minute. I still have a living to make! * The pottery is open to the public and also sells work, I may have to attend to visitors at times in the shop, and they may engage with interest, and conversation with you about your project, so please make sure you are ok with this. * Bring an Apron as the clay is messy! * The pottery studio can get cold, so wear layers! * If you require an alternative non-dairy milk/snack please let me know beforehand.
